Nicole Eisenman: Sturm und Drang

$55.00

Published on the occasion of the 2020 Suzanne Deal Booth / FLAG Art Foundation Prize, Nicole Eisenman: Sturm und Drang documents Eisenman’s related solo exhibitions at The Contemporary Austin and The FLAG Art Foundation. The Contemporary’s exhibition focused on Eisenman’s recent shift toward sculpture, with the presentation centering on Procession, 2019, originally created for The Whitney Biennial. FLAG’s presentation took shape as a mini-survey of the artist, using their history of drawing and printmaking as a through thread connecting distinctive but interrelated bodies of work. A parallel exhibition featuring 300 drawings by Keith Boadwee further highlighted Eisenman’s interest in humor, abjection, and the body.
